Scheduled Maintenance
Scheduled Maintenance Sep 19, 2024 17:00-18:00 EDT
Please note that your EnergyCAP services may be interrupted later this month on September 19th.

Start Time: September 19th 5:00 p.m. ET
Expected End Time: September 19th 6:00 p.m. ET

During this maintenance window, EnergyCAP will be conducting an essential infrastructure upgrade. EnergyCAP will be expanding to a new set of IPs, commonly referred to as a CIDR block. This upgrade will improve network performance and increase the capacity of our services.

If your organization is explicitly “whitelisting” (specifically allowing access) EnergyCAP services, your organization may need to update your firewall rules and network configuration to add the new CIDR blocks to continue uninterrupted.

New CIDR blocks: 67.209.224.144/28
50.200.137.0/26
209.166.133.64/27

We understand the inconvenience this may cause and assure you that our team will work diligently to complete the maintenance as quickly as possible. Our goal is to minimize disruption and provide you with a more robust and efficient platform.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

If you have any urgent concerns or inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at https://helpcenter.energycap.com.

You can monitor progress of this upgrade at https://status.energycap.com.

Resolved - Individual systems recovered rapidly, but the updates rolled through several systems affecting different portions of the service until the process was stopped and the last system was brought back online around 12:18 AM on 9/17/24.

We understand that our customers depend on our services for normal business operations, and are working to continuously improve our processes. Thank you for your patience during this issue. The processes for categorizing the safety of updates for application beyond standard maintenance windows are being updated to prevent future recurrence of this issue.

Identified - At 10:08 PM ET on 9/16/2024 engineers monitoring operating system patches noted that some systems that were scheduled to apply non-reboot updates were rebooting and causing an unplanned disruption in service. The underlying cause has been identified as a mis-categorization of updates that were expected to not require reboot actually triggering a reboot unexpectedly.
